KIERON WISE

I am a self taught jewellery artist based in The Lizard where I live and have my studio. I have been making jewellery for around 6 years and work mainly in a combination of silver and gold which I often pair with high quality, boldly coloured gemstones.

For my inspiration, I draw on the landscape of Cornwall and am particularly drawn to the small details and patterns found on beaches, coves, Cornish Hedges, as well as the geological textures of the landscape of West Penwith and The Lizard. My work has been described as intricate and delicate and it is my aim as an artist to take the wearer of my jewellery on a small journey through the landscape of this county – along the rocky shorelines, past the Cornish hedges and into the ancient rainforests.
As the environment is something that is close to my heart, all of the gold and silver I use is recycled by me in my own studio and wherever possible I source my gemstones through a dealer in Hatton Garden in London who deals exclusively with recycled gems.
