SUMMARY:WILD AND STILL in the Crypt Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Alan Shailes is a Cornish artist specialising in traditional oil paintings of Cornwall’s North Coast. \n  \nBorn in Porthtowan and now living and working in Falmouth\, Alan has always had an association with the sea & coast from his earliest memories. \n  \nHaving spent 40 years surfing in Cornwall and around the world\, Alan has an intrinsic understanding of the nature of the sea\, movement of water and coastal atmosphere which is reflected within his representational style.   \n  \nAlan’s work has benefitted after having been mentored and tutored\, in a traditional atelier style\, by Jamie Medlin – one of the worlds leading marine artists and a fellow lover of all things Cornish\, particularly the sea & coast in all it’s forms. \n  \nAlan may also include art from other artists\, including Jamie within the exhibition. \n  \nPlease take a look at my Facebook & Instagram pages to see examples of my work.  (@alan.shailesartcornwall) (Al Shailes art)
