DESCRIPTION:Be part of the Spring Open Show! Bring up to 3 pieces of work down to the Mariners Gallery and have the chance to be part of our next show. We accept all types of artwork in varying shapes\, sizes\, and mediums\, but we are also happy to answer any questions regarding your submission via email\, direct message\, or phone call (01736 795582) in the run up to the hand-in day. \nHand-in day: Saturday 25th April 2026\, 10-4pm. \nAddress: St Ives Society of Artists\, Mariners Gallery\, Norway Square\, St Ives\, Cornwall\, Tr26 1na. \nPrice: £10 per artwork \nExhibition dates: 1st May until 19th June \nPrivate view: all artists and their friends and families are invited to join us to celebrate the new exhibition with a glass of wine and music on Saturday 2nd May\, 3-5pm. \nThe outcome of the selection process will be emailed to participants the following week\, in time for the exhibition opening on Friday 1st May. We’ll experiment with paper cutting\, watercolour and collage\, taking inspiration from poetry\, art books and a wonderful selection of creative resources that I’ll bring along\, including my own sketchbooks. \nYour ticket includes a concertina sketchbook and a selection of materials to get you started\, with plenty more to explore throughout the session. There’ll be lots of time for making\, chatting and sharing ideas in a welcoming\, gentle atmosphere—perfect whether you’re looking to spark your creativity or simply enjoy a few hours of relaxed art-making. \nPlease bring: your own watercolour paints and some collage papers. Everything else you’ll need will be provided. \nTickets can be purchased from the St Ives Box Office: \n     \n— \nAbout Teagan:  \n​After studying Costume Design at the London College of Fashion\, Teagan Pharoah-Green moved back to St. Ives and set up the sustainable clothing label\, Fierce Flora in 2020​. She runs Marigold-Moth\, a sustainable clothing shop in Penzance\, Cornwall.  \nIn addition to this\, Teagan manages the design and production of several collaborative clothing collections per year for various other independent womenswear labels.​ Teagan is also a freelance magazine editor and enjoys guest lecturing at various colleges and universities.

DESCRIPTION:When: Saturday 19th September 2026 \nWhere: Mariners Gallery\, Norway Square\, St Ives\, TR26 1NA \nTime: 10am (sale begins) \nPrice: £60 per artwork \n  \nThe “Square Deal” is back for another year! Our annual fundraising art sale takes place at the Mariners Gallery in Norway Square. During this one-day event\, visitors and collectors can purchase original square paintings created by talented member artists for just £60 each. All proceeds go towards the maintenance of our historic building. \nAll artwork will be available to view in the gallery in the week before. The sale begins at 10am and anyone looking to participate will be invited to queue outside. Paintings will be sold on a first come first served basis\, one painting per person\, and gallery staff will be there to guide you.
